HACOSOFT Assembly
HACOBEND Pro
HACOBEND Pro is a software application for offline programming of press brakes and is available in a HACOBEND 2D and 3D version. HACOBEND Pro 2D offers an intuitive interface for easy 2D and parametric design, enabling swift creation of bending programs. HACOBEND Pro 3D goes further with integrated 3D CAD module and advanced features such as an automatic bend line detection, and specialized bends.
Advanced 3D insight for complex bends
HACObend Pro 3D extends the capabilities of HACObend Pro 2D with a fully integrated 3D CAD environment and advanced geometric processing algorithms. The software directly imports native 3D CAD files in STEP and IGES formats, automatically extracting bend lines through intelligent feature recognition. This eliminates manual redrawing and ensures geometric accuracy throughout the programming process. The integrated 3D visualization engine provides real-time simulation of complete bending sequences including tool movements, part manipulation, and final assembly verification.
Programming with HACOBEND Pro allows you to:
Production benefits
Complex parts with multiple bends can be programmed efficiently without specialized CAD expertise. Design validation occurs during the programming phase, identifying potential manufacturing issues before production begins. Tooling requirements are automatically calculated and optimized to minimize setup changes. The system supports design for manufacturability analysis, suggesting alternative bend sequences or tooling configurations to improve production efficiency.
Workflow integration
The software maintains bidirectional associativity between 3D models and bending programs, automatically updating programs when design changes occur. Tool library management includes 3D geometric models of punches, dies, and special tooling with complete kinematic definitions. Program simulation displays the complete bending sequence in photorealistic 3D, showing exact tool positioning, ram travel, and workpiece deformation. Export capabilities support direct machine post-processing with automatic tool lists, setup documentation, and quality control requirements.
Core capabilities
Automatic bend line detection analyzes imported 3D geometry to identify bending features, determine bend angles, and calculate inner radii. The system recognizes complex geometries including offset bends, hemming operations, acute angle bends, and z-bends. Advanced unfolding algorithms compute accurate flat patterns accounting for material properties, grain direction, and multiple bend interactions. The 3D collision detection system performs exhaustive analysis throughout the entire bending sequence, checking tool clearance, workpiece interference, and backgauge positioning in real-time.
