HACO and Yawei take a step towards a strategic industrial partnership

HACO Group, the European machine builder specialised in sheet metal and press technology solutions, has signed a letter of intent with Yawei. The agreement forms the basis for a strategic industrial cooperation project aimed at further strengthening the HACO Sheet Metal and BLISSBRET Presses divisions. Founded in 1956, Yawei is the first listed company in China’s metal-forming machine tool industry and a leading supplier of flexible and intelligent sheet metal processing solutions.

The project brings together two complementary industrial companies that share a long-term vision focused on innovation, international growth and customer proximity. By combining their respective strengths, both parties aim to enhance their industrial capabilities and create new opportunities in existing and future markets.

European expertise as a foundation

For HACO, this project further strengthens its position as a European industrial group active in sheet metal processing and press technology. Through HACO Sheet Metal and BLISSBRET Presses, the group combines a broad range of machinery, software and industrial expertise. This position is supported by European manufacturing capacity, proprietary control technology and offline software solutions. In addition, a strong commercial and service network across Europe and the United States ensures local support.

A key principle of the project is the preservation and further development of local manufacturing, assembly, engineering and service activities close to customers and markets. The industrial activities of HACO Sheet Metal and BLISSBRET Presses will remain firmly rooted in Europe, with a continued focus on Made in EU production, local support and technological expertise close to the customer.

A long-term vision for growth and innovation

While the project creates new opportunities for future growth and development, HACO’s day-to-day operations remain unchanged. No operational changes are currently planned, and no impact on employment is foreseen. Customers, suppliers and employees can continue to rely on the same teams, the same service and the same commitment to quality.

“This project is based on a clear industrial rationale and a shared ambition to further strengthen our technological and commercial position,” says Kurt Havegeer, CEO of HACO. “Our priority remains creating value for customers, employees and partners while building a strong industrial future.”

The discussions relate exclusively to the HACO Sheet Metal and BLISSBRET Presses divisions. Other HACO business units are not part of this project and will continue their activities as usual.

Over the coming months, both parties will complete the necessary analyses, validations and formal steps of the process. In the meantime, all activities will continue according to the existing business operations.
