What do you do when the latest generation of machinery hits the market and you get first access? For Govatech, based in Halsteren, the Netherlands, the answer was simple: seize the opportunity. Less than a month after the global launch, the company invested in the Haco OptiForm 30150 Plus, taking a bold step to boost speed, accuracy, and flexibility in their workshop.
From design to production
Govatech specializes in custom, versatile solutions, delivering air-handling systems and structural components across industrial, commercial, and residential projects. Since 2013, the team has grown from 8 to 25 employees. Precision sheet metal is at the core of their solutions, produced on a modern machine park equipped with guillotine shears, laser cutters, and press brakes.
Time for an upgrade
After more than 25 years in service, an old press brake and guillotine were showing their age. The company needed more speed, precision, and flexibility to handle increasingly complex bending and sheet metal work. Govatech responded with a strategic investment: the brand-new OptiForm 30150 Plus and a GSX 3006 guillotine shear equipped with a hydraulic sheet-holding system.
Two machines, one goal
According to Jasper Hoogstad, Sales Manager Haco Netherlands, the OptiForm delivers performance without compromise: “With a working length of 3,100 mm, a 150-ton bending capacity, and a 480 mm daylight opening, Govatech operators can tackle complex bends with minimal setup. The CNC-controlled crowning and 4-axis back gauge give them maximum flexibility, while the intuitive control panel keeps daily operation simple.”
According to Hoogstad, the GSX 3006 complements the OptiForm perfectly “With upper hydraulic cylinders, a sheet-holding system that moves with the ram, and the SC200 control, operators get precision and ease of use from the start. No long training needed – just switch it on and cut, with excellent efficiency and reliability.”
Impact from day one
The combination of the OptiForm and GSX 3006 immediately strengthened Govatech’s sheet metal capabilities. Production became faster and more accurate, and handling custom parts is now smoother than ever. “In three words: speed, precision, confidence,” sums up the team.
