Eine Plasmaschneidanlage mit verschraubten Schneidtisch und integrierten Rauchabzugskammern

Die überdimensionierte Schweißkonstruktion der HACO KOMPAKT ist mit integrierten Rauchabzugskammern und angeschraubten Schneidtisch versehen. Das Portal läuft auf beiden Seiten auf Linearführungen und wir über je einen Servomotor und Zahnstangenantrieb auf beiden Seiten gesteuert.

Plasma-Schneidkopf

Der Plasma-Schneidkopf befindet sich auf dem Portal und kann mit konventionell und High-Definition Plasmabrenner ausgerüstet werden. Die Schneidkopfhöhe (Z-Achse) wird mit einem DC-Motor mit Zahnstangenantrieb auf zwei überdimensionierten Linearführungen angetrieben. Während des Schneidvorganges wird die Höhe des Kopfes über den Lichtbogen-Spannung gesteuert.

Steuerung: maximale Bedienerfreundlichkeit

Die APC 59T Steuer ist in einem separaten Gehäuse untergebracht. Durch den 15“ TFT-Touchscreen werden Eingaben über die Tastatur und Maus reduziert und erhöhen so den Bedienkomfort. Der gesamt Schneidprozess kann einfach und intuitiv über die Steuerung kontrolliert werden.

Die einfache Benutzeroberfläche erlaubt den direkten Zugriff auf allen benötigten Funktionen und erhöht so weiter die Bedienerfreundlichkeit.

Verschleißteil Lebensdauer

Abhängig von den Produktionsanforderungen können aus der Datenbank die notwendigen Schnittparameter in Sekundenschnelle entnommen werden. Die Software zeigt dem Bediener automatisch die richtigen Verbrauchsmaterialien für den Plasma-Schneidkopf an. Die Software überwacht den Lebenszyklus der Verbrauchsmaterialien und informiert den Bediener rechtzeitig wann Teile gewechselt werden müssen. Auf diese Weise können Verbrauchsmaterialien rechtzeitig nachbestellt werden.

Die Schneidprogramme können auch gedreht werden, falls Bleche zu schwer sind um sie parallel auf der Maschine auszurichten.

Hypertherm Plasmaquellen

Die HACO KOMPAKT kann mit allen Hypertherm Plasmaquellen für mechanisiertes Schneiden ausgerüstet werden. Sie bestehen aus einem DC-Netzteil, einer Gaskonsole, einer HF-Konsole, dem Plasmabrenner und allen Kabel und Schlauchverbindungen.

Cutting through the lead times

There is no doubt in anyone's mind that the mining industry is operating at full capacity requiring a demanding workload from the miners and associated businesses. With lead times being crucial, Perth-based Ox Engineering felt it was time to look for a solution to alleviate the pressure, minimise lead times and bring outsourced plasma cutting work in house.

Ox Engineering supplies customised designed products to suit the different types of drill rigs used in exploration. Some examples are: dual rotary water well rigs, large oil and gas rigs, diamond drill rigs and reverse circulation. All of these drill rigs require different products for sampling, maintenance and safety; handrails, platforms for personnel and auto mobilising specialised equipment to take manual handling down to a minimum.

Lead times too long

Demand in the industry is such that lead times were rapidly blowing out to three - four weeks, making business untenable for the Ox Engineering team. Given that the outlook for mining is relatively robust, Heath felt it was prudent to investigate the options to purchase a CNC plasma cutting machine to bring the plate cutting in-house.

Ox Engineering wanted a machine that could use their drawings with minimal fuss; it had to provide tight tolerances and accuracy, the cutting edge needed to be precise and the build quality of the machine needed to be high. And of course, meet our budget. As a result, Oxley chose a KOMPAKT 4020 CNC plasma cutting machine from HACO Australia.

“Previously, our lead times were too long; by the time the drawing was finalised and then outsourced for cutting we could potentially have lost 3-4 weeks. Now, with our own plasma cutter, once the drawing is complete, it can be cut in an hour. It has cut our turnaround time to a tenth of what it was,” says Oxley.
