Austech 2011 a great success
For HACO Australia, Austech 2011 proved to be very successful this year with many high-quality enquiries and leads generated over the four days of the show.
Around 12,000 visitors from Australia, Asia and New Zealand spent several days in Melbourne attending Austech 2011 from 24 to 27 May. Austech is Australia's premier advanced precision manufacturing and machine tool exhibition, and offers a meeting point for the entire advanced manufacturing sector.
At the HACO Australia stand, many trade visitors sought information on new technologies as well as on solutions for improved productivity and quality. Among the many machines on show, the HACO CNC plasma machine KOMPAKT 3015 generated a lot of interest among visitors. The machine features a Hypertherm HyPerformance HPR XD plasma source, which is specifically designed to be mounted on X-Y cutting tables. "The highlight on this machine is our new APC59T Windows® control", he explains. "The touch panel effectively reduces the number of keyboard and button actions to an absolute minimum, allowing the user a straight forward, intuitive control of the entire production cycle."
The highly advanced software "RoboTorch" raises the bar for other plasma software on the market due to the simple layout of the user-interface. This allows direct access to the desired functions and as a result creating optimum operator convenience. The Automatic Arc Voltage System continuously adjusts the arc voltage for consumable wear and this results in correct torch height over the life of the consumables, without operator adjustment.
The two CNC pressbrakes also proved to be a crowd puller. The ERMS model is an entry-level press featuring a 2D graphical control and XR backgauge, while the top-of-the-line model ERM features a 3D & 2D graphical control, a 6-axis backgauge and hydraulic top and bottom WILLA style tool clamping.
Austech organiser AMTIL reports that Austech and National Manufacturing Week (NMW) attracted a total of around 12,000 visitors from 24 to 27 May 2011. This represents growth of 10 to 15% over the comparable 2009 event. Almost all of the exhibitors were pleased with the results of the show, which surely reflects the strong economic recovery in the major industrial markets around the globe.
